Cat Crawford, Project Admin – my first OneTwo event

Hi I’m Cat 👋

I am a new project administrator within the OneTwo events team.

I really enjoy meeting and engaging with new people and within my project admin role at OneTwo, I work with a range of delegates and clients helping with queries and assisting project managers in any way that I can, through prepping for and on-the-day event support.

My favourite part of my role, so far, is that no two days are alike and much like OneTwo itself, every day is unique and a lot of fun!

Last month, I went to my first event with OneTwo it was an internal staff conference for a client within the nuclear sector, for 200 delegates and this is how the day went!

  1. how did your first event go?

Overall, I’d say that it went really well! I had a lot of fun talking to and meeting with the clients and delegates on the day.

  1. what was your role in this event?

My role for this event was to register all arriving delegates, which involved checking ID’s and providing lanyards and badges and also providing general information and answering any questions.

From getting everything organised and set up, hassle free registration, assisting delegates with all their questions, chatting with clients and finally packing down and ensuring everything was organised for day two of the event.

  1. what was your favourite part of the day?

I would say meeting and chatting with everyone that I had been liaising with when arranging the event, putting faces to the names, was really lovely!

(And unofficially… I’d say my favourite part was the buffet!)

  1. what were your top takeaways from this event?
  • My top tip is to be (and stay) organised!
  • Although there were a large number of delegates (200 in total!) everything went smoothly and ran like clockwork, demonstrating that all our prep ensured event success.
